Ebenezer Baptist Church

Pastor's Desk

Dear Ebenezer,

Freedom from oppression is among the crying needs of the peoples of this world. It is the right to develop one's own potential. People everywhere want to make their choices and pursue their own course of action.

Students may make the mistake of selecting certain subjects in school because they have the reputation of being easy. Later, they discover that they graduate and there are no available jobs in the field.

We owe it to our young to make them aware of available employment opportunities and steer them into available fields of endeavor through wise counseling.

Robert Frost describes this life-changing decision with poetic beauty:

" I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I -
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference."
(The Road Less Traveled)

Yours in the Master's Name,
Marvin C. Griffin, Pastor
